Dear colleagues and friends of Energy Efficiency Cluster!

The primary goal of our Cluster is to establish an environment to support innovative products connected with the implementation of breakthrough technologies in the fields of generation and efficient utilization of energy resources, and aimed at priority development of new industry sectors. First of all, I am talking about the solutions that are aimed at improving the performance of the oil and gas industry and power generation, reduced power consumption by industrial facilities, in transport industry, in housing and public utilities. The Cluster offers the incorporated potential of fundamental and applied research in Fuel and Energy Complex, entrepreneurs, small innovation businesses, key industrial players from Russia and abroad, venture investors in energy sector.

The Cluster is rapidly developing - the number of participants in December 2018 was almost equal to 450, following the 2017 results the total revenue of the participants, as compared with the previous year, it demonstrated a 70% increase. The geographic outreach of our participants’ commercial projects is becoming broader, involving more locations in Russia and abroad, as new industrial partners emerge.

In 2019, the Cluster is going to achieve even more ambitious and tangible results in terms of improving the interaction with participants and partners through:

• increased number of participants offering ‘ready-for-market’ products
• focused development of technology-related areas;
• delivering support to the participants in defining their development strategies
• targeted acceleration of profit-oriented participants;
• launching corporate accelerator programs;
• targeted technologies search following the requests from our partners;
• preparation of individual programs of cooperation with industrial partners, based on their needs;
• establishing partner R&D centers in Skolkovo;
• offering incentives for establishing consortiums aimed at implementation of new initiatives with involvement of several Skolkovo partners and participants.

Our Cluster is planning to hold more industry-related events at this new site: accelerator programs, exhibitions, contests, strategic sessions, scientific and technical councils, welcome days of partner companies, master classes and work-shops, as well as to provide broader and more efficient participation in the government-initiated projects.

I believe that the well-coordinated work of our team and efficient interaction with our participants and partners in 2018 will result in even more commercial successes and stories of effective commercialization of our start-ups, introduction of their technologies in the production facilities, and will also contribute to the integrated development of the Skolkovo ecosystem.
