On 5 September 2018, the Russia’s first fully foreign clinic - a branch of the famous Jerusalem Hadassah Medical Center opens at the International Medical Cluster (IMC) on the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
Hadassah Medical Skolkovo is a pioneer of the International Medical Cluster, a unique project of the Government of Moscow, whose implementation will ensure the transfer and introduction of the best international practices and the main trends in the development of medicine in the country’s health care system.

It is crucial to provide medical care to patients with the use of the state-of-the-art technologies thus applying the achievements of translational medicine and introducing medical developments into practice, which were at the stage of scientific research the day before yesterday. IMC should be the place of transfer of the best international medical competencies to Russian doctors.”
Due to the special legislative conditions provided to the Cluster Participant, Hadassah Medical Skolkovo will host more than 100 foreign and Russian specialists. 80,000 patients annually will be able to undergo a full medical diagnosis and receive medical care using the cutting edge medical techniques and the most effective medications of the latest generation successfully tested in the Member States of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), but not yet available in Russia.

In addition to the practical exchange of experience between foreign and Russian specialists, every Russian doctor at Hadassah Medical Skolkovo will undergo a long-term (from one month to two years) and step-by-step training at the main clinic in Jerusalem.

On 5 September, the first outpatient building of the clinic will be opened for patients thus providing them with an opportunity not only to undergo a comprehensive medical diagnosis of the state of health, but also to receive the necessary medical care for various diseases, including complex medical cases and oncology.
The next stage is the construction of a multifunctional hospital for 134 beds equipped with the latest medical technology and a full-time Department of Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy. It is planned to be completed by the end of 2020.

The International Medical Cluster at Skolkovo Innovation Center is a unique healthcare project that will significantly increase the quality and effectiveness of medical service provision in Russia. The IMC’s mission is to transfer and implement the best international practices and main trends in the development of medicine in Russia’s healthcare system.
