The global Russian-speaking community will meet on 10-11th of March in Cambridge (Great Britain) to discuss the science and technological landscape of Russia and to integrate with the process of modernization of the Russian economy. Also, this will be an attempt to define unique national traits of Russian research and development specialists which can lead to success in the area of science and technology.
The First International Forum of Russian-Speaking Science and Technology Professionals 2012 will welcome its participants at one of most successful high technology clusters in the world - in the “Silicon Fen” of Cambridge. The event is organized on the initiative of the Organizing committee of RuSciTech in the UK with the support of the Skolkovo Foundation, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (SkolkovoTech), the Open University of Skolkovo (OpUS) and in cooperation with the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC).
Participants of the event will analyze R&D management models, examples of the existing successful cooperation and operating international research centres. They will be able to network with potential partners, investors and representatives of international research centres.
The Russian participants of the Forum include the representatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, RUSNANO, the Skolkovo Foundation, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and the Russian Quantum Centre.
Among the foreign participants of the event there will be present the UK Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the UK’s Academy of Science – Royal Society, Isis Innovations, Perimeter Institute (Canada), Siemens, John Adams Institute, Imperial Innovations, KAUST (Saudi Arabia), Russian-speaking Academic Science Association (RASA), Cambridge Network and leading UK science parks.
Participants of the conference will have an opportunity to take part in the formation of the Association of Russian-Speaking Science and Technology Professionals.
The Forum will host plenary presentations and round tables on key topics, followed by guided tour of Cambridge, chauffeured punting on the River Cam and Gala dinner at one of colleges of the University of Cambridge.
