Robonight is an initiative by the Skolkovo Foundation and the Skolkovo Open University to steer innovative minds towards robotics, part of a technological sector that is woefully underdeveloped in Russia.
The latest event was held at DI Telegraph in central Moscow on Friday through Saturday, September 20, and featured a celebration of machines through films, exhibitions and even a robodisco.
Organizers had expected a few hundred robotics fans to turn up, but in the end had to cope with more than 1,400 visitors, making it the most successful edition of Robonight to date.
