The Skolkovo Foundation’s Startup Tour has completed its third stop-off in the western Siberian city of Novosibirsk, following visits to Irkutsk and Vladivostok.

The two-day event to identify promising tech startups was held at Novosibirsk’s Academpark – the technopark of the city’s historical science town.

More than 1,500 people registered to take part in the event in Novosibirsk, Russia’s third biggest city, including hopeful entrepreneurs from neighbouring regions such as the republic of Altai and Altai region, and the Kemerovo, Omsk and Tomsk regions. Participants had the opportunity to pitch their ideas and attend workshops, as well as network with representatives of the local business community and regional authorities.
