On 27-30 September 2011 at the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management (Moscow Oblast, Odintsovsky District, Village of Skolkovo), the Skolkovo Foundation and State Corporation Rosatom will jointly hold a training workshop on new structural and functional materials.
The workshop is dedicated to discussing the current situation and assessing the priority areas in developing new structural and functional materials (NSFM). The key goals of the event are to identify and establish the key areas in new structural and functional materials, as well as to predict the priority topics in the field for the next 15–20 years, and to discuss the existing global, national and corporate NSFM development competence centres.
The training program includes reports by representatives from major global technological companies that order new materials, as well as key players in the new material development market, and representatives of competence centres in the new material development field. Group discussions and speeches from participants will be organised based on the reports by invited experts.
The key participating organisations include units from Rosatom, leading technical universities, major international companies, institutes of the Academy of Sciences, representatives from top Russian technology corporations and development institutes, representatives from leading international research laboratories and universities, and participant companies, current and prospective, of the Skolkovo Foundation clusters dealing with NSFM.
The training is organised by Rosatom’s Directorate for Scientific and Technical Complex and the Skolkovo Foundation’s Nuclear Technology Cluster.
