Olga Uskova, President and founder of Cognitive Technologies company. A renowned businesswoman with a 25 year experience in IT, Olga Uskova is known as one of Russian IT visionaries. She was the one to facilitate the OEM agreement on OCR and ECM solutions between Cognitive Technologies and the world’s leading companies – HP, Canon, Epson, Xerox, Oki, IBM, Oracle, Samsung, Corel, Olivetti inc., etc. Olga Uskova participated in 2006 Russian Presidium State Council devoted to the development of Russian high-tech industry. She was the speaker to the President of Russian Federation on the main domestic IT industry challenges. Olga Uskova also took part in 2010 Economic Modernization Commission where she was the keynote speaker to the President of Russian Federation on crucial domestic innovation market issues. Many important structuring areas of IT-sector, such as e-commerce, have been dynamically developing thanks to her active facilitation. Olga Uskova had a major influence on largest IT state programs implementation, including “Electronic Russia” Federal program as well as “Elections” and “Justice” State automated systems and interstate CIS member states programs. Olga Uskova is among evangelists and initiators of Russian IT export program. “Cognitive Technologies” run by Uskova remains the investor of “Chernogolovka IT Park”, one of the largest projects devoted to IT parks construction. Russian electronic document management and information analytical processing IT-markets developed due to her proactive participation, as well as many state and regional automation projects. Speech Coprs of Russian language developed under the guidance of Uskova in 2001 has been purchased by Intel the same year. In 2010 she concluded an agreement between Cognitive Technologies and NVidia on strategic cooperation in the field of documents and images processing technologies. Olga Uskova took part in creation and compilation of many IT/hi-tech framework documents, including Concept for the Information Society Development, Russian Regional Informatization and “Smart City” Skolkovo concepts. Olga Uskova had a great influence on innovative sector development answering the most important infrastructure challenges. National Association of Innovation and Information Technology (NAIRIT), being one of the influential Russian public associations, emerged on her initiative. Uskova remains the President of NAIRIT since 2006. Among the activities held by Uskova is improving national education. She heads the chair of NITU MISiS Advanced Computer Technologies since 2012. Having created new concepts and techniques for improving the creative capabilities, Olga Uskova is known as the author of ""New Reality 2.0"" project designed to identify the most effective methods for developing creative abilities among young people. O. Uskova, a renowned SMM expert, is also the trustee of the MISiS sports programming team, the repeated finalist of the World Programming Championship. Uskova initiated a considerable amount of legislative activities within the framework of the State Duma Commission for the Development of Strategic Information Systems. The law on domestic IT developers’ support and high-tech products import substitution developed with her participation. She also initiated and sponsored draft law regulating the movement of unmanned vehicles on public roads on the territory of the Russian Federation. Since 2008 O. Uskova has been paying much attention to the main issues of creating robotic systems and autonomous technologies based on artificial intelligence. Together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and OJSC KAMAZ she is the initiator and one of the main executors of the project to create a driverless vehicle. Olga Uskova also initiated the creation of autonomous transport systems in agriculture in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and “Rostselmash”. Cognitive Technologies has its own project aiming to create a fully autonomous driverless vehicle by 2022 – 2023 based on C-Pilot intelligent platform. O.Uskova has named Autonomous person of the week by “Guidanotonoma”. O. Uskova is the initiator of infrastructure projects in Russian robotic industry. She also took part in the creation of International Robotic Technology Centre along with experts from Cambridge University and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
