ACHI is comprised of:• Tabular List of Interventions - contains seven character code in the format xxxxx-xx. Generally, the first five characters represent the MBS item number and the last two characters are allocated for each procedural concept derived from the MBS item description. Two appendices are specified: Mapping table; and ACHI codes listed in numerical order.• Alphabetic Index of Interventions - is an alphabetic index to the ACHI Tabular List of Interventions that contains many more procedural terms than those appearing in the ACHI Tabular List.
