The Skolkovo Foundation will participate in 2014 BIO International Convention, the international biotechnology exhibition, which will take place in San Diego, USA on 23-26 June 2014. As the world’s largest biotechnology gathering BIO 2014 will bring together major pharmaceutical companies, startups and influential decision-makers from the biotech industry.

This year Skolkovo will present 7 perspective startups from the Biomed Cluster, which develop new diagnostics and targeted drugs for oncology treatment and stem cells regenerative technologies.

Kirill Kaem, Executive Director of the Skolkovo Foundation Biomedical Technologies Cluster, commented that: ‘This is an important biotech road-show of Skolkovo resident companies to the US. At BIO 2014 Skolkovo Foundation will be looking for cooperation opportunities with the global biopharmaceutical community along the two lines, including cross-scouting of startup projects and exploring the potential for locating biotech R&D centers in Skolkovo and in Russia.’

Skolkovo will exhibit its residents at the Russian booth #5423. The full list of participants from Skolkovo Foundation includes the following startups:

Fusion Pharma Small molecule drug candidate against chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) including its drug resistant forms
