A meeting of the Skolkovo Foundation Space Technologies and Telecommunications Cluster Friends’ Club devoted to the prospects for the development and improvement of the Russian Federation’s space industry will take place on 25 October.

The programme for the meeting includes the involvement of scientists and leading experts in the space industry who will present papers on “Microsatellites: a promising trend or a provocation?”, “Academician V.P. Glushko: general designer of rocket engines and space systems”, “Proposals to use existing and future space vehicles to delivery useful lightweight payloads to the Moon” (“Project Selene Micro”). After the presentations those taking part in the meeting will exchange opinions and discuss important issues concerning the work of the Space Technologies and Telecommunications Cluster.

Taking part in the meeting will be Stanislav Karpenko, technical director of the Sputniks company, Vladimir Gershenzon, general director of ScanEx, and Leonid Sternin, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, deputy head of department and head of the thermal and gas dynamics section at the Academician V.P. Glushko Energomash,  recipient of the USSR State Prize and holder of the Order of the Labour Red Banner.
