The Skolkovo Foundation will participate in CeBIT, the international IT exhibition, which will take place in Hannover, Germany on 10-14 March 2014. The aim of CeBIT is to bring together large multinational companies, startups, investors and top speakers from the digital industry.
This year Skolkovo will present thirty notable startup companies from the IT and Space Clusters in the domains of Industry, Safety&Security and Lifestyle, which will have an opportunity to present their ideas and inventions and get inspiration from their colleagues. For instance, 3D-tek startup will show its 3D screen created with a revolutionary technology of pixelless optical interpolation, which can be used on conventional projectors to watch any types of videos in quality that exceeds Ultra-high Definition. Wicron company will bring two robots called Webot, a telepresence bot, allowing a person to perform actions at its location via a PC and the Internet. It provides for remote observation of the events and conversations with other people, seeing the surroundings and getting around with the pace of a man.
Igor Bogachev, Executive Director of the Skolkovo Foundation IT Cluster, highlighted that: ‘CeBIT provides a superb opportunity for our residents to show their innovative technologies to the international audience and to establish promising contacts for future commercialization of their projects abroad.’
