Several IASP members shared their experiences of worldwide cooperation between science and technology parks.
IASP Management – including President Jean François Balducchi, Vice President Josep Piqué and Director General Luis Sanz - participated in a session about technoparks and micro multinationals, where they discussed how STPs support small companies to develop internationally, find partners and enter global markets.
Within the session “Entrepreneurship development and experience exchange. Investments, marketing, networking on global market” Renat Batyrov (Skolkovo Technopark, Russia) has involved his colleagues in discussion on how to understand the main vector of innovations’ development and the geography of innovations, what kind of marketing tools should be used to enter international markets, how to find partners and attract global investments. Josep Pique (22@Barcelona Activa, Spain), Deniz Tuncalp (ITU ARI Teknokent, Turkey), Pekka Soini (Tekes, Finland) and Luis Sanz (IASP), all those distinguished speakers have made an important contribution in the session.
Another session moderated by Amer Hashmi gave the answers for the most important issues concerning the entrance to markets of USA, China, Singapore, Spain, Finland and Turkey. What are the advantages of the country, and what are the promising spheres of innovation appliance; where to look for the market, partners, investments; what are the first steps, that startup needs to take to enter the market. Jari Lauronen (Joensuu Science Park, Finland), Felipe Romera (Parque Technologico de Andalucia, Spain), Herbert Chen (Tus-Holdings Co.) and others gave the answers to all those crucial questions.
Finally, companies have been provided with practically useful and valuable information. The main goal of Skolkovo is to assist SMEs and startups to develop and to improve their business skills.
