Skolkovo Foundation delegation of representatives of the clusters, Technopark, Skoltech and Open University visits Berlin on 16 – 17, April with a business mission.
On the 16th of April the delegation members arrived at Technopark Adlershof and made a tour of its infrastructure and several objects such as Center for photovoltaics and renewable energies.
Within the program the Russian Side made a range of presentations on Skolkovo Foundation, its perspectives of development, clusters, Technopark including the benefits of Softlanding program. From the host side the representatives of Humboldt University, Berlin Business angels Club, regional cluster of optics technologies, biomed cluster Berlin – Brandenburg, energy cluster, Berlin- Brandenburg Association of IT companies participated in the event.
The B2B meetings are also being held. The concrete ways of cooperation are suggested including: ‘road show’ organization for the Russian and German companies, information exchange on projects, events, expo within the clusters’ activities, participation of the German colleagues in Start up Village, companies exchange within Softlanding program.
On the next day the working meeting with Russian speaking scientists, technical specialists, innovation entrepreneurs working in German, is taken place at the Russian House of science and culture in Berlin. The meeting was opened by the Director of the House Mr. Ksenofontov with an offer to assist in the science and entrepreneurship connections development between Skolkovo and compatriots living in Germany. The Vice-President of Skolkovo Mr. Grachev made a presentation of Skolkovo and energy cluster. Thus, the reports of Foundation clusters representatives are made (biomed, nuclear, IT, Open University, Skoltech).
The Foundation representatives informed about the Skolkovo project development and changes since the last meeting in Berlin in 2012. The Foundation opportunities of supporting research and developments of innovation technologies and its commercialization are being discussed. Within the cooperation with Skolkovo, foreign startups and innovation companies can get an access to the Russian and local resources of innovation support.
As a result, the participants of the meeting were suggested to develop their technological startups in Skolkovo within Softlanding program being experts of the Foundation, to cooperate in science and education spheres and to participate in Startup village on 2-3 of June 2015.
