Skolkovo became one of the most active participants during the first day of the Saint-Petersburg economic forum. Today Foundation representatives signed three important agreements on cooperation.


The series of signings was opened by a memorandum of understanding with a Dutch non-commercial organization SURFnet. Participating in the official ceremony were the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Arkadiy Dvorkovich. SURFnet is one of the oldest organizations in the world engaged in the issues of internet development, education and science. Cooperation between Skolkovo and SURFnet will allow using the latest designs of the Dutch organization in the field of educational and scientific exchange in the University of Skoltech.

At 13:15 agreement on cooperation was signed at the Skolkovo stand with the Foundation “Web Ready”, a non-commercial organization for support of innovations. In November 2013 Skolkovo will host competition finals in its venue “Hypercube” in Moscow, will provide informational and organizational support. Representatives of Skolkovo IT cluster Igor Bogachev and Yekaterina Gaika will be on the panel of judges of Web Ready and will participate in the assessment of projects.

Tight agenda was completed by signing an agreement between Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technologies and St. Petersburg State University. This event confirmed yet again the importance of development cooperation between Skoltech and leading Russian higher education institutions in the field of human resources training for innovative Russia.
