The Skolkovo Foundation for Development of the Center for Elaboration and Commercialization of New Technologies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF and Microsoft, announces a competitive selection of concept proposals for the establishment of the Skolkovo School.

Creating the Skolkovo Center for Elaboration and Commercialization of New Technologies involves the creation of a modern city, in which the best business models of urban environment and contemporary models of social services will be implemented. In particular, an advanced system of preschool and school education will be built in the city of Skolkovo. The “educational complex of the future” model established in Skolkovo, could serve as a prototype for mass school education in Russia in the coming decade.

To achieve the objectives of the project, a Tender for the Creation of Concepts for the Skolkovo School is being announced, to which experts, teams of experts from different regions of Russia, as well as foreign experts and teams of experts will be able to submit their ideas for the creation of such a school. The best concept (or group of concepts) will be taken as the basis for the development of the project, which will be implemented in Skolkovo. Other concepts, which obtain support in the Skolkovo School Tender, will be used in different regions of Russia to create innovative schools.

The groups of designers (individuals and legal entities, creative teams), intending to participate in the development of the concepts for the Skolkovo School are invited to take part in the tender. ‘Letters of interest’ are to be submitted in a free form and should describe the experience of the group in the appropriate area for this contest (the design and creation of educational systems, institutions, project management, etc.) and the fundamental ideas of the proposed concept.
