Significance of creation of personal thermograph could be compared to appearance of all other devices and services for telemedicine (telehealth). Existing devices with telemedical service solve just one problem of a patient, for example, electronic stethoscope is used for heart’s monitoring and electronic glucometer is used for blood sugar control. Personal thermograph solves the problem of objective monitoring of more than 100 diseases in home conditions. Average number of chronic diseases that require constant monitoring is six for people after 50 years old, eight for people over 60, and eleven for people over 70. Before the creation of personal thermograph, there were no such devices for constant monitoring of the majority of diseases. Visualization of such important indicator of body’s life-sustenance and vital functions support as heat was inaccessible due to unavailability of commercially affordable instrument for visualization of thermal fields. Personal thermograph “CEM®-ThermoMonitoring” is an absolutely new type of non-contact thermometer capable to provide hundreds times more useful information for monitoring of treatment course in comparison with traditional thermometer. Fields of application: self-examination, telehealth (telemedicine), monitoring of treatment course at home and in professional conditions, individual selection of medications; cosmetology, sports/fitness; aid in sales promotion of pharmaceutical products, dietary supplements, home massagers and physiotherapeutic appliances, and etc. Clients: - Individual users, interested in selection of the optimal medical treatment and objective monitoring of treatment course of chronic diseases for a reasonable price with the use of doctors’ tele-consultations, prevention of diseases (including joint diseases, inflammatory, cardio-vascular, oncology, and skin diseases); - Professional users in medical and medicine associated businesses, including privately practicing doctors of all specialties, masseurs, cosmetologists, distributors of health-care products using the device as a marketing aid, specialists in fitness, yoga and similar health techniques, who can return invested money in 1 weeks.

  • The main idea of the Concept of MDD

How it works: the device measures infrared radiation of the body and shows thermal picture on the display. According to our local temperature patterns, we can detect early signs of worsening or improvement for many diseases. The device is especially useful for monitoring of chronic diseases’ treatment and for determining the effectiveness of medications and treatments, which is a key for achieving better results of therapy. Personal thermograph allows the patient to achieve maximal results from telemedicine service.

  • Experience in the field of medical diagnostics

The team leader Yuri Tkachenko - Head of two projects on microwave radiometry and thermal imaging of tumors of the mammary gland, together with Samsung Electronics (Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology), South Korea, 1998-2003.Also he is Co-founder and Head of the project "Mobile device aurikolo-diagnostics», JSC «META »(Medical and Technical Apparatus, see AURICULAR DIAGNOSIS DEVICE - BODY / SCANNING, SISTEMA DI AURICOLODIAGNOSTICA - BODY / SCANNING, www.tecnapgroup.com / english / products.htm), 1997 - present time, Italy.

  • Status of work on the concept

It is developed a prototype of a Personal Thermograph and conducted researches of symptoms of benign skin tumors and melanoma, cerebral circulatory insufficiency, inflammatory disease of the knee (see http://cem-tech.ru/index.php/ru/nauka). Based on these studies, a hardware-software complex CEM®-ThermoDiagnostics is developed, comprising an infrared pyrometer, the transmitting device (radio module, ensuring the transfer of information from the pyrometer to a PC or laptop), a specialized software (computer program "CEM®-ThermoImage»), more details see http://cem-tech.ru/index.php/ru/produkciya. There is full patent protection for development of the firm (patents for inventions, utility models and industrial designs, registered the software, registered trademarks - http://cem-tech.ru/index.php/ru/nauka/19-glavnoe/65-ip). Fully established system of promotion and marketing of the device through the Internet sales (http://www.cem-thermo.ru).

  • Partners

There are negotiations on licensed production with South Korean firms INFOPIACo., Ltd. (www.infopia21.com, www.infopiausa.com) and HMM Co. Meanwhile, also talks with interested partners in the EU under the mediation of Innovation Center in Luxembourg.

  • Investment opportunities

The optimal variant of cooperation is a licensed agreement with CEM-Technology Company, acting as the licensor (the draft license agreement - see http://www.cem-tech.ru/attachments/207_b_license% 20contract% 20project.pdf).
