    The advantages of the "Individual Monitoring Alliance" team are : its members are involved for long time in the development of mobile monitoring and diagnostic platforms and are in charge of a few companies. 1. The LPP "Telemedmonitoring", Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The company is involved in R&D of HW and SW for collecting information from the sensors of different types and applications, processing and storage of such information, its transmission over mobile telecommunication networks and arranging of access to this information. The company is a member of the Saint-Petersburg Cluster of medical, ecological and biotechnologies. The company is working on development of the "Personal Health Monitoring Server" which is a part of the company know-how : “Hardware-software solution based on mobile personal servers and intended for creation of cloud databases of Vital Signs (blood pressure, heart rate, ECG etc)”, registered in the Enterprise Europe Network ref. 12 RU 86FG 3P3M. 2. "MegaKoto" company, Kuopio, Finland provides mHealth solutions offering flexible approach to remote self care. MegaKoto provides total health care management platform, care management, monitoring of at risk patients utilizing wireless telemedicine sensors and wireless communication with care coordinators, doctors and other care workers. MegaKoto’s eHealthGateway is an effective and secure tool to wirelessly transfer measured data from different measurement and rehabilitation devices to the health care provider via a mobile platform. "MegaKoto" has a factory for biosensors' manufacturing. 3. The LLP "NPP Centersviazinform", Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Equipped and has qualified personnel for manufacturing and repair of mobile devices. Has experience in warranty and post-warranty maintenance of IT equipment.

  • The main idea of ​​the Concept of MDD

    The concept is the proposirions on HW-SW implementation of probability system for diagnostics with its Knowledge base distributed between Mobile Diagnostics Devices (MDD) and cloud structures. Due to the progress of the System on Chip technology the Knowledge base will migrate towards the MDDs. The decentralized approach is proposed. It provides high level of security for personal data, low cost of system set up and maintenance. Each user has a portable MDD which collects information from biosensors attached to the user's body, stores this information and has a SW for diagnostic of diseases. The diagnostic algorithms are open, the MDD SW is easily updated implementing the updates of the algorithms. USB, BT and ZigBee interfaces are incorporated into the MDD. Recommended by Continua Alliance the IEEE 11073-104xx protocols are implemented for communication of the MDD with sensors. User interface gives possibility for manual input of measurement data. The interface is designed for elderly persons, people with chronic diseases, disabled people. The results of diagnostic is displayed on the MDD screen. The Diagnostic Software Applications (DSA) located in the cloud structures may be communicated over HL7 v3 protocol. Information from MDD data bases (DB) may be transmitted to DSA, an access to the information from MDD DB to DSA may be authorized. It's planned to certify the MDD in Continua Alliance. Manufacturing and maintenance of the MDD are planned to be performed on the Russian factory. The maintenance includes implementation of new versions of SW in all MDDs in operation. The sensors available today on the market don't cover the needs for diagnostic of diseases listed in the Regulations on the MDD selection. Development of flexible biosensor network is planned. One of the members of the team develops and manufactures sensors. An estimation of the market of MDD in Saint-Petersburg today is 200 000 pieces.

  • Experience in the field of medical diagnostics

    The team co-operates with All-Russia Center of Emergency and Radiological Medicine named after A.M.Nikiforov” of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. The team is working on definition of the set of parameters and their processing principles needed for diagnostic of diseases listed in the Requirements on the MDD.

  • Status of work on the concept

    A laboratory prototype of the MDD is available. From its outlook the MDD resembles a mobile phone but has a simplified user interface oriented on the elderly people, disabled people, people with chronic diseases. The laboratory tests are going on : inter-working of the MDD with different types of biosensors over USB and Bluetooth, inter-working of the MDD with external servers over mobile Internet. Preparation of documentation for manufacturing of a number of MDDs for trials. Working on a Knowledge base of diagnostics probability system : definition of a set of physiological parameters needed for diagnostic of diseases listed in the Regulations on the MDD concept selection. Analysis of the features of diagnostic systems available today. Analysis of the existent approaches to the creation of biosensors' networks. Selection of a statistical methods for procession of signals from sensors.
