11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Design dialogue – "ZENIT camera as the 20th century iPphone"
Zenit camera went down in history as the 20th century most common SRL camera. Zenitmania exceeded today's obsession with Apple products in coverage. Vladimir Runge, who created the legendary camera, will tell about the things that made it possible. Design dialogue will also feature a presentation of the book telling the legend of Soviet design, accompanied by autograph signing session.

The digitalization of economy provokes markets and companies to make inevitable changes to production, more specifically, to change their design attitudes. Previously most manufacturers relied in their business on process cost reduction and optimization, whereas today advanced companies believe that the main key to their business success is the programming of new needs of the audience and creating innovative products on this basis, which would fail without design strategy.

Humans should feel comfortable in outer space – this idea is becoming one of the main criteria as private space travel, targeted towards both research and tourist business, evolves. Private space leads to the emergence of new engineering solutions in spacecraft and crew garments with a significant ergonomic component, thus making it attractive to scientists, businesses and the society alike.

CUSTOMER SCHOOL
The key annual format of the Skolkovo Days of Industrial Design Project – the Customer School – is a popular platform for experience exchange among developers, design startups, hi-tech companies. Experts will tell about their developments with a focus on the role of industrial design across all production phases, ranging from idea creation and visualization to implementation. The Customer School 2019 topic is: "Have you ordered designer services?, or How can a new value be created?"
